Outside my window... cold and dark night
I am thinking...that the cold weather has shown up to quickly. I hate winter and it's going to be another long one.
I am thankful for... my husband and my daughter...they are my everything
I am wearing... gray sweats and a purple tank top
I am remembering...my Dad

I am reading..."You: Staying Young" by Michael Roizen, M.D. and Mehmet Oz, M.D.
I am hoping... to keep on the right track with being healthier.
Pondering these words... To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch...to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded! - Emerson

Around the house... been trying to clean and organize as of late.

One of my favorite things... my dogs
From my picture journal...above is a picture of my dogs enjoying some mid afternoon sunshine.

Apple Obsession

Have you heard that I have an Apple Obsession? No not the kind that is involved in the damn cleanse I'm doing...but the computers, iPods and iPhones. About a year and a half ago I made the switch. Best thing I ever did. I HATE windows!!! It was always crashing. Always causing me to have a conniption fit at some point or another. I've made my husband make the switch too....we are windows free now and loving it. No more computer crashes! I'm a bit of a gadget freak so I'm usually pretty fickle and liking the next new thing. My iPhone I've had since the day it was available in Canada (❤LOVE it❤). There is still nothing better on the market for me. There are so many cool apps that are free that you can download. Now if the tablet would just hurry up and be released! I can't wait until it's available....I'll be there on day one too! Anyway, I'm rambling....

Week 2 Done!

Week two of the cleanse is done. We even got through Thanksgiving Dinner and stayed on the cleanse. Of course I made chicken, potatoes and gravy for Tyler and yes I even got her chocolate cake. We had Trout....it was supposed to be Friday nights meal, but we decided to have it for Thanksgiving Dinner instead. We've only had fish twice during the cleanse....otherwise it's veggies, veggies and more veggies. The great bonus so far is that I've lost 9 lbs! Happy about that. It's going to help me get on the right track health wise. Checked my blood pressure the other day and it was actually a little low. Probably because we haven't had anything but veggies and absolutely no salt.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

One Week Down....Three To Go!

Week one of the cleanse is done. So far so good. We are all still alive and feeling a bit better now. The first few days we were an achy bunch. My back was killing me, hips and neck. I felt like I was 60! As you may have noticed from previous posts the coffee part has been hard....it's a strict program. But I feel really good about it. I think it will get me in the right direction....or at least I hope so. This week it's time to incorporate some exercise. I'm going to start back on my Yoga practice. Namaste.

I need coffee...

Day 4 of the cleanse today and it's really not too bad....except this morning I am HUNGRY and would pretty much kill you for a cup of coffee. Having no coffee is definitely the worst part. Going from 2-3 cups a day to none is painful. Can you say addiction!!!!! I swear I can smell the coffee in this picture. mmmmm coffee.
